What a beautiful venue!

‘What a beautiful venue! I’ve visited Bentley fisheries on a few occasions now on filming shoots for Nash Tackle. It is a quintessential English estate lake set in the Essex countryside, surrounded by mature woodland. The islands and overhanging margins just scream carp fishing and it is truly a lovely place to angle for a couple of days, with some incredible fishing to be had too.

On the fishing front, a great stock of handpicked English carp makes anything that graces your net a real reward – It has a little bit of everything with lily beds, islands, long stretches of marginal cover and silt open water gullys to explore. Fishing to the snags has always been productive when I have been down there, constantly on edge waiting for a single beep on the alarms and the tip to bend round!

Couple this with the wild deer, rabbits, foxes and all the other wildlife – it really is a piece of carp fishing serenity and a venue we often choose to shoot videos and product photography purely for its incredible aesthetic nature!’
